Film Production - Inspiration Board

Costumes: Costumes will mainly consist of modern, casual attire - namely jeans, t-shirts and hoodies for the younger characters and resort guests. Typical modern workout gear will be featured during training scenes, and clothes appropriate to the summer wearer will also feature throughout. The staff will wear t-shirts with "Kellerman's" printed on the front. However, for the dancing scenes the costumes will replicate those used in the original film.

Camera Angles: Lots of long shots will be used in order to achieve full-length visuals on the dancing that goes on throughout the film. Close ups will be used occasionally to highlight emotion and create a sense of tension when necessary. Medium close-ups can be used to show intimacy between dancers particularly when Baby discovers the secret dirty dancing parties.

This is a sample article to demonstrate the type of content that will appear in my action film magazine titled 'Spotlight'. - The Hunger Games film franchise broke box office records and made large amounts of money across the globe. Three years later, it is still one of the most popular franchises in the world. The four-film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' trilogy has made just under three billion dollars in total, with the highest ranking instalment being Catching Fire. Released in late 2013, the film follows Katniss Everdeen - portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence - as she embarks on a tour of the districts of Panem succeeding her victory in the 74th Hunger Games with her district partner, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). The Appeal of Film Magazine Covers

The cover of film magazines tend to be a little busier than those of magazines from any other genre. Perhaps this is because they aim to highlight the explosive nature of hit new action films or due to the excitement of a cinematic masterpiece. They usually feature a leading character from the newest releases in front of an interesting background - often some sort of explosion. By featuring a celebrity in character on the cover page, fans are more likely to purchase the product, thus making it more successful. The name of magazines usually falls behind the head of whoever is on the cover as it is often the celebrity, not the actual magazine itself, that sells the product. Text on the cover must stand out so as to allow readers to know what content can be found inside, but shouldn't take away from the cover image.
